The Innocent vs the Uncivilised Oppressor

By the time I carried out my attachment at the High Court last few months, there's something that marked the dot on my mind, the 'heart-pricking' experience which would remain entrenched in my mind. It's a case between the local people and FELDA(clearly an Authority controlled by the 'quick-grab-opportunity' government). The main essence:the local people alleged that FELDA misused their funds and they claimed over them. FELDA's allegation:the local people planted the trees not in accordance of the agreement. Nah..Ignored their 'fake' allegations. What remains haunting my mind is the face of the local ppl(the claimant).I still remember, the face of this one old man, wearing kopiah, spoke in pure Kelantanese accent during the examination, his voice was loud, at certain time his face show 'hatred', yet he remained calm when was bombarded with question frm the FELDA's counsel(from M/S Karpal Singh if i'm not mistaken).Bravo Pakcik! He was not easily 'manipulated' by that counsel, he paused for a few seconds before answering.(Show that he think before he speak). Dear Uncivilised Oppressor, you are wrong if you think that these folks are toys that u can manipulate, you can play. Though they're not exposed to your CIVILISED WORLD,when they're deceived, they cant stay silent!I'm wondering the 'structures of the hearts' of these 'oppressor',maybe they changed the color to black, build with concrete, guarded by two evils.Dont they feel symphatized when they misappropriate the money of the rural old folks? Why they're so greedy? Is the 'commission' from their multi-million projects, taxation not enough to them?WHY THEY WANT TO BE THE SLAVE FOR MONEY?
Around a month later after the hearing took place, I was watching television. Good gracious!I was shocked, yet happy and relieved, the local ppl won the case and the damages amounted to millions ringgit..alhamdulliah,its not the amount of the damages which becomes the matter, but the pride and the rights of the oppressed.Kudos to the learned judge, for his sound decision.Day by day, people are more aware of the rights of these innocent and oppressed citizens, looked at Kg.Rimba Jaya case(another more tragic incident of the oppresed and neglected rural folks).May the new tsunami-political change and the rising of the new dawn would start a new chapter..
Yesterday, while I was chatting with a friend who did the attachment together last few months, this topic was raised out again by her...Coincidently,I was thinking about it frequently lately..and it wasnt me alone, so as her..so as the Malaysians who had wake up from their dreams..
