Yes yes I know the movie was outdated already. The movie was published in 2006 and I only watched it few weeks ago at home when it was screened in HBO. A bunch of gratitudes to Astro.Hahaha..Poor me! I was left far behind to talk about the movie when it was still sizzling back in 2 years ago.
The main character of the movie was 'V' (of course la right, you can even catch it from the title), who was a freedom fighter. His motive was to overthrow the present government, Norsefire, which practised oppression. One of his dialogue remains entrenched in my mind, "The people should not be afraid of the government, it's the government who should be afraid of the people". The significance of this quote is the guys of the rakyat to stand still without fear, and to oppose the government when they realized that the government is acting wrongly, putting aside the rights and sovereignity of the peoples. Well, we the Malaysian had been shocked with too many unanticipated government's hasty decision these past few weeks.First, the fuel price hike.Second, the salary's payment of the government servants for twice a month starting from this August, and thirdly, the budget deficit as a result of the economic turndown. When the awaken rakyat lamenting, causing the uproar, they acted in a hanky-panky way, twisted their agenda, blaming the current economy of the world. Do you think you can easily manipulate and deceive the people after the political tsunami?Back to the quote, the government should take a lesson from the 'tsunami', afraid of the consequences from their hanky-panky decisions. Wake up and smell the cappucino lah! The peoples can be subversive, any time from now on.
Another scene which strike my eye appeals was when thousands of peoples marched along the parade to the Parliament wearing V's mask. Frankly speaking, I was heartily touched of the scene. I was thinking about the Bersih rally when I watched the scene. Thousands of peoples wearing yellow shirt instead of the solemn-face mask. Now I'm wondering of the date of 5th July, where thousands of rakyat are expected to gather at KLCC, protesting for the fuel price hike. They are urged to wear red instead of the mask, symbolized anguish and dissatisfaction to the government for their ignorance. Well yeah, wearing red was better than wearing mask. When you wear a mask, your identity won't be revealed but when you are unmasked, wearing reds, there go your guts!
Well I'm still thinking of who the hell from our nation have enough physical and mental ability to depict the cunning V?V had undergone torture from Larkhill as a consequence of the bioterrorist attack and he developed his ability from the torture, which outraged his vendetta. Is there any resemblance of Larkhill here?I guess we would have a mutual thought here, it's something that is urged to be abolished for years...
Another scene which lured my attention was when Gordon showed Evey that he kept Al-Quran in his secret chamber, and told her that he is not a Moslem, but the beauty and the amazing content of the holy book attracts him to do so. Later on he was killed, purposely because the army found the Quran in his house! Here, it envisages that even the non-Moslem digested the Holy Book because of its perfect divine words. Ironically, it pictures how the white regimes treated the Moslem.
All in all, I will give two thumbs up for the movie and its depth-impact messages.

memento from mi amor!
Yay!mi amor just got back from Bandung and he brought back all these stuffs for me. Was so tormented without any sms or call from him for 5 days! and when he came back, calling me in the morning while I was still sleeping noticing that he's here already, and MMS me the souvenirs which he brought back, I was sooooo overjoyed and apologized him for the 'grace period'. Thanks, thanks a trillion dear. Currently listening to Annie's Song from Weezer, and I humbly dedicate this heartful and meticulous-written lyrics to YOU!
Erk...some old folks believed on this taboo. When a guy gives 'kain pasang' to his girl, jodoh tak sampai (their relationship won't be long). But I don't believe on this stupid taboo.
Gonna send the fabrics to the tailor for the coming 'baju raya'.
Now it's my favorite shirt!:)
You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again
Come let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come let me love you
Come love me again
You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

The hunt of thrifting @ KB!
Yay!found another thrift-shop at KB..or the exact place is Kok Lanas, with little help and direction from a friend. This thrift-store didnt sell vintage clothes, it merely has thrifted bags, belts,& watches, and yes its sorta rare&unique from other thrift shop, cos hey we cant easily find watches at vintage shop right?Plus the items are arranged and displayed neatly on the rack, so its like an 'invitation to treat' for the customer who entered into the shop.We can easily see the items without bowing and rummaging through a mountain full of dusty items!
So,when my friend first introduced the shop I was like kinda excited and overjoyed! At first instance I didnt thought to buy anything cos' I only bring RM50 in my wallet, even when my friend asked nok beli gapo? (What do u want to buy?)..I said takdok gapo-gapo kot, kelih kelih jah(nothing maybe...just want to have a look).
But I was overwhelmed with my "usual lust" once I got into the shop(ehhemm..not that "lust",i mean shopping).was lucky enough cos' we went to the shop a day after they displayed the new stuffs,so we got the chance to choose 'almost flawless' items.Plus theres lot of authentic branded stuff. So I ended up buying these bags and one butterfly-buckled belt.Ohh what a deviation from the prior intention!I'm broke, once again!

The 'so-unpopular' outcries : Fuel Price Hike
So what's the main worries and anguish of the Malaysians these past few days? The answer is so 'popular', despite 'fak lah!'s remark that the hike was an 'unpopular decision' (from an infamous government under his leadership..shall I say that?). The petrol price was raised up from RM1.92 to RM2.70!(up 78 cent), and diesel, from RM 1.58 to RM2.58(up RM1)!
*Graph : credit to Malaysiakini website
Having a glance at the above graph, we can infer that THIS IS THE HIGHEST MARGINS OF THE HIKE OVER THE DECADES!*unpopular decision menate apo ni fak lah?*
Okay WAN FARHANIM...so now sit down, calm, and contemplate (do u think anyone can be calm?).What's the probable consequences of the hike?Of course, I have to tighten my budget after the new trimester starts, cos' I have to spend more on the fuel!Last time, I spent RM40 for 20.833 litre petrol for my car. After doing little calculation, the draconian hike urges me to spend RM56 for the same amount of petrol!Imagine..RM 16 difference(My father only gives me RM50 for the petrol). So I have to add-up RM16 from my pocket money from now on..I am a student, and oh did I mention?a 'cheapskate' student.I can have 3 times meals from that RM16, or buy Hotlink top-up, or even buying one outfit from F.O.S stores!
Solution : Do I have to change my lifestyle now?(Reiterating fak lah's deputy suggestion). Some laid out the sarcastic remarks on their YM status, buying a 'le-run' or 'raleigh' bicycle. Well, I will consider that, spending RM300 for once in a blue moon and sacrificing more sweat and energy, rather than wasting RM224 per month for the petrol and sitting like a potato couch in the aircond and pull the gear back and forth! That's quid pro pro right?
One of my buddies even suggested to buy a horse. But I cant ride a horse, nor affordable to pay its price! He later popped out with another solution.. "Go buy a kambing lah!Tambat..pegi kelah paka topi cowboy.."Hurm...isnt that cool?
